The film revolves around four fathers who are on the lookout for rich husbands for their daughters, unaware that their quest will lead to massive confusion. The fathers, JD (Mithun Chakraborty) and Chintu Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor), are bitter rivals, and both want their daughters to marry into wealthier families. This situation leads to a comedy of errors, with four young men—Sunny (Akshay Kumar), Max (John Abraham), Jolly (Riteish Deshmukh), and Jai (Shreyas Talpade)—each pretending to be the prospective suitor named "Jolly" to win over the fathers.
As the men pose as someone they are not, things quickly spiral into chaos, with mistaken identities, romantic misunderstandings, and a series of over-the-top comedic situations. The film culminates in a hilariously convoluted climax where the truth is revealed.
